Steel structures are considered to be light compared to concrete structures. The new structures are often light compared to steel structures, and therefore they are called "super-light".
The principle of super-light structures is inspired by the body, where bones carry the load in compression and are stabilized by a soft and light structure, that fills out the shape of the body.
In order to establish curved paths for the bones in an economically affordable way, the principle of a pearl-chain reinforcement is found inspired by the spine of a body.
These two rather basic inventions lead to a paradigm shift for structural design, which completely changes the work of engineers, opens new possibilities for architects, and reduces resource consume for structures.
